Every morning, if I’m not up when Spencer leaves for work, he leaves one of these, ahh isn’t he sweet, but sometimes I don’t see them or they get misplaced.
And whilst I love these notes, they really make me smile, I don’t want them on just random bits of paper, I would hate for them to get lost!
So I decided to make a little frame for them. This frame has been knocking around for a while,
To make a backing for the frame I used some burlap, I chose a cute pink one, cut to size,
Before attaching the backing I used the two hooks already on the back of the frame to zig zag twine across the back.
I wanted something none sticky to attach the notes with, basically nothing glue based, and these cute little pegs are perfect.
I used the hole in the spring to thread through the twine, securing it to one of the hooks.
Armed with my staple gun, love this thing, I attached the burlap to the frame, making sure it was pulled tight to prevent sagging.
Using two strips of felt, the burlap off cut and a piece of ribbon I made 3 flowers, which I attached to the frame with my trusty glue gun.
I painted some wooden hearts, one pink and one red, again attaching to the frame with the glue gun.
Here is how the frame looks all put together,
Lastly, I wanted to attach a tag from a present Spencer brought me years ago,
I just love the sentiment behind it Spencer had brought me some diamond earrings and a necklace!!
Here is the frame sat on one of the shelves in the kitchen so now I always know where my note will be!!

I do get sweet notes from my hubby!!! But I never thought to frame them or incorporate them into my decor. I'm going to have to try this!!!
