Edible monograms, cress seeds!

There have been so many wonderful looking monograms around blogland the past few months; I was inspired to try my own.

I wanted something a little different and decided to try edible monograms!

All you need to make your own is

Soil / compost
Patch of garden or a container
Cress seeds
kitchen paper
A little bit of sun shine and a splash of rain

This is how I made them using an empty container; it’s the same idea for using a patch of garden.

I filled the container with compost and watered it a little.

Sprinkle a layer of seeds in to an outline of the letter/s you want, make sure the layer of seeds isn't to thick.

Slightly dampen some kitchen paper and place on top of the seeds; this prevents them being blown away or eaten by birds! (Remove after 24 hours)

Wait a week or so, and tada!!!!!

When I was little we always used to make cress egg heads, which was always a lot of fun! This is great for kids, they can help plant the seeds and they don't need to wait to long for results!
