Britmums Christmas Meet Up ~ Starting To Feel Festive

britmums christmas meet up

I was lucky enough to nab a ticket to Britmums Christmas Meet Up with Morrisons.

After an unexpected whistle stop tour of London train stations; London Victoria, Clapham Junction, London Waterloo and finally London Bridge I made it to the wonderfully festive morning.

The morning offered bloggers a chance to hear Morrisons Executive Chef of Product Development Neil Nugent’s top tips on cooking a festive dinner.

Did you know….

you shouldn’t wrap a turkey in foil

Maris Piper are THE potatoes for the perfect roast spuds

and

that lard is the new goose fat?!

Well now you do.

After picking Neil’s brain on the best way to cook a fabulously festive dinner we were left to mingle and sample some of the wonderful food Morrisons have created as part of their Christmas range.

I must admit to not really being a Morrisons customer, but today has convinced me to really give the place a go, in fact I already have a little list of items from the Christmas range we need.

Oh and their decorations, so cute!

Aside from having perhaps the nicest cupcake I’ve eaten in a long time it was lovely to catch up with some fabulous bloggers who I haven’t seen since Britmums Live and meet some bloggers who I’ve ‘talked’ to on Twitter but never met.

It was a wonderful morning and the perfect way to kick off the Festive season.
