How To Make A Paper Garland

I woke up this morning to a rather lovely almost Spring like day, the sun was shining, the sky was a gorgeous blue with just a few fluffy white clouds.

It made a nice change to have sunlight streaming in through the windows rather than the persistent rain we’ve been experiencing lately.

With the kiddos busy playing with their Legos, I was inspired to do a little crafting.

Step 1. Decide on a word or phrase you want on your banner, I went with {What a lovely day}.

Step 2. Select a range of scrapbook papers.

Step 3. Make templates for the letters you need to make the banner. If confident in your skills, you can miss this step, and go straight to outlining the letters on to scrapbook paper.

Step 4. Draw around templates on to the scrapbook paper and cut them out.

Step 5. Use a needle to poke 2 holes at the top of each letter, thread some bakers twine through these holes, eventually you will have threaded each letter on to the bakers twine.

Step 6. Hang your finished garland up!

I do love the simple crafts which add a bit of colour to the walls, they’ve been looking rather bare since the Christmas decorations came down.

  1. This is SO cute... Love it.where'd you get your baker's twine???

  2. Oh I'm jealousy of your crafty-ness! I have a distinct lack of artistic-ness! x
