The Simple Things ~ A Perfect Afternoon

Last Sunday we were blessed with a gorgeously warm sunny afternoon.

With the shonky weather we’ve had this year we wanted to make the the most of it whilst it lasted, so we threw a few bits and bobs in a bag and headed out to the park.

pieces of our day

Our blanket was placed on the grass, footwear kicked off and the boys took off to kick their football around.

such a little poser

The football was soon tossed aside for the bubble gun!

After running around like loons chasing bubbles all over the place it was time for a little treat.

sunday afternoon treat

We took a little stroll admiring the flowers.

The boys were as puzzled as they were amazed by the moon being ‘awake’ in the middle of the day.

Eventually we had to pack up and mosey on home, the dreaded homework was calling.

It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon, getting away from everything, even just for a few hours was fantastic.

Some family time, without distractions, was just what we needed and definitely something we will be making more time for.
