Review ~ ‘One Pot 60 Super Speedy Recipes

Who doesn’t love quick prep meals with little washing up?

30 minutes prep and cook time with just the one pot to wash up….yes please!

30 minute one pot meals review

The latest offering from Love Food is ‘One Pot’, which pretty much does what it says on the over; it gives you 60 delicious recipes, on the table in 30 minutes all cooked in one pot.

The book kicks off with tips on how to get the most out of the recipes and actually make these meals in 30 minutes. Some tips are so obvious yet I still never think of them, I will be using these in tips when shopping and prepping meals in the future.

For instance; ‘Let your butcher do the work’, I have an aversion to handling raw meat, I just can’t do it, which is a pain in the bum, yet I’ve never thought of having the butcher trim fat, chop or debone something!

Each recipe has a 30 minute countdown, very handy for keeping on track! Each one is accompanied by some rather gorgeous photos and the occasional tip.

A few of my favourites, which will be making an appearance over the next few weeks are, Lemon, Chicken & Rice Soup, Quick Paella, Spicy Bean Chilli and Chicken & Dumplings…anyone now really hungry?

The book rounds off the yumminess with several handy sections; ‘Useful Information’ which discusses various kitchen utensils, none of which are necessary required but would definitely make your kitchen run smoother.

The ‘Preparation Techniques’ is a very handy Hot To on some of the techniques used throughout the recipes, handy for those new to cooking, I’m thinking students away from home for the first time.

The ‘Supermarket cheats’ section details items readily available at any store which can cut preparation and cooking time on a number of recipes, another handy bit of info for those who want less fuss.

Finally there is the ‘Temperature & Measurement Guide’ another super handy piece of info for anyone wanting to prepare these delicious meals.
