Gildredge Park In Bloom
We are very lucky to have many parks local to us, all of which have their own attractions, but Gildredge Park is by far my favourite.
After the kids have a run about in the play park there’s always time to humour mama and her flower obsession.
I have to confess I’m not a big fan of roses, but there is something about them when they start turning brown which appeals to me. Roses are perhaps even more beautiful as they begin to decay,
Some were still in bud, others were in full bloom whilst some had totally finished for the year.
I love the contrast of the bright yellow, such a happy POP.
Whilst I was busy snapping away, oohing and ahhhing over the flower the boys were busy testing their sliding on bum skills! How amazing are the roots of this tree?
Besides the roses there is always a rather lovely smattering of flowers dotted about.
These look a little like ratty tatty sunflowers. Can you spot my fart nugget?
The hollyhocks are amazing, I want some of these for our garden!
There were also plenty of these, no idea what they are, but they have also been added to my “I need these but I also need more garden” list.
The buds remind me of felt pom pom balls.
I was baffled by the trees, there were plenty still lush and green…
But there were also a surprising amount of leaves already dropping!
Is Autumn trying to push Summer out just a tad early this year?
We finished our trip to the park with a game of hide and seek….the boys suck at this game!
